James Wengler, Professional Land Surveyor registration No. 26304, Certified Federal Surveyor registration No. 1059 After graduating from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse, New York State Ranger School in 1978 with an AAS in Forest Technology, Mr. Wengler moved to Port Angeles and has been surveying on the Olympic Peninsula ever since. He acquired his license in 1989 and has traveled many times to Olympia as a subject matter expert to help the Washington State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors write and evaluate the Professional Land Surveying exam. In addition, Jim was appointed to a 30-member team of subject matter experts from across the United States. This team traveled to Clemson, South Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia to take, evaluate and determine the minimum passing score of the National Professional Land Surveyors exam administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). Mr. Wengler has had articles published in professional journals and has given seminars on various surveying topics. A former part time Peninsula College Instructor and Land Surveyor's Association of Washington (LSAW) Chapter President Jim has further served the Profession as the State President of the LSAW and is currently the LSAW representative for the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
